Billy Ray Cyrus Collaborating with Family for Charity Single

Billy Ray Cyrus teamed up with his children, Braison and Noah Cyrus, to release the charity single “Oh What a Dream We Had.” The song aims to raise funds for the Prevent Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit focused on cancer prevention and early detection. This collaboration brings the Cyrus family together to support a cause close to their hearts.

The track’s inspiration comes from personal experiences within the Cyrus family. In 2006, Braison’s grandfather passed away from lung cancer. A family friend’s daughter was diagnosed with lymphoma at just nine years old. These events motivated Braison to use his music to raise awareness about cancer prevention. He shared with PEOPLE, “I think it’s almost impossible to find somebody who hasn’t been affected by cancer in some way.” This speaks to the universal impact of cancer.

To bring the song to life, the family coordinated efforts across different locations. Billy Ray recorded his vocals at home, while Noah and Braison worked in the studio. The track features contributions from artists like Billy Idol, Il Divo, and Richard Marx. In March, the music video was released, already amassing nearly 3 million views, which helped spread the song’s important message about cancer awareness.

For Billy Ray, this project is more than music. It is a chance to use his platform to advocate for cancer prevention and raise funds for vital research. “It’s about all of us coming together, using our collective voices and abilities to make a difference,” he said.

This charity single brings the Cyrus family closer together and demonstrates their shared commitment to giving back. Through their efforts, they hope to make a lasting contribution to the Prevent Cancer Foundation, supporting research and cancer prevention.
