NFL superstar Travis Kelce is known for his explosive plays and big personality. But off the field, he’s building something even more meaningful. Through his foundation, 87 & Running, Kelce is working to create real change for underserved youth.
Kelce launched the nonprofit in 2015, inspired by his upbringing in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. He saw how limited resources held back kids with big potential. With 87 & Running, he’s focused on helping them overcome those limits. The foundation supports students by giving them access to learning, mentorship, and hands-on experiences in areas like STEM, arts, leadership, and mental wellness.
What makes this work special is Kelce’s involvement. He’s not just a name on the board—he’s showing up, speaking out, and making it personal. Whether he’s surprising students with scholarships or organizing community events, Kelce is all in. One of the most visible examples is the Kelce Car Jam, an annual fundraiser in Kansas City. The 2025 edition, hosted in partnership with Raising Cane’s, brought together fans, families, and community leaders. Every dollar raised went back into programs that help young people learn and lead.
Beyond fundraising, Kelce and his team are expanding efforts around mental health support. They’re building programs that help students manage stress, grow confidence, and feel heard. These aren’t just buzzwords—they’re daily challenges for many kids in underfunded schools and neighborhoods.
As Kelce puts it: “It’s about building a future for kids that allows them to dream without limits.”
From the classroom to the football field, Kelce continues to show what leadership really looks like. And through 87 & Running, he’s making sure the next generation gets the support they need to lead, too.
